Who is eligible to submit a trial concept?
We welcome trial ideas from academic investigators at any career stage, including faculty, fellows, early-career researchers, and clinician-scientists. You don't need prior trial experience or a full protocol to start the conversation.
-
What types of trial ideas are you looking for?
We specialize in observational, biomarker, resistance mechanism, and biospecimen collection trials. We accomplish these using either a fully remote, decentralized approach, a traditional multi-center setting, or a hybrid technique that combines best practices and advanced technologies to support the effort. In addition, our staff brings over 30 years of experience in designing and managing Phase 1-4 interventional therapeutic trials, adhering to established ICH/GCP and FDA standards.
-
What stage of development should my idea be in before I submit?
We work with investigators at all stages, from early-stage concepts to near-final protocols. Even if you have only a hypothesis and a clinical question, we can help shape it into a viable study.
-
Can ALCMI help me write a grant proposal or apply for funding?
Yes. We regularly assist with NIH, DoD, and foundation grant applications. We can also assist with budget development and feasibility assessments, as well as study concept summaries for industry or philanthropic partners.
-
Will I be the Principal Investigator (PI) of my trial?
Typically, yes. If you are proposing a trial, you will serve as the Principal Investigator (PI), either as a single-site study or as the lead PI in a multicenter design. We also help identify and onboard additional investigators when needed.
-
Can ALCMI help with multisite trials?
Absolutely. We have experience launching multicenter studies through our global consortium partners, which include leading academic thoracic oncology sites.
-
Is there a cost to submit a trial idea?
No. There is no fee to submit a concept or speak with our team. If your trial advances, we will work with you to develop a funding strategy and identify appropriate resources to cover trial costs.
-
What happens after I submit my idea?
You’ll receive confirmation of your submission and be contacted within 1–2 weeks by a member of our scientific or clinical operations team. We’ll schedule a call to discuss your concept, goals, and next steps.
